Easily remove Candle Wax stain from carpet

So you’ve had an accident and knocked over a candle, leaving a great big stain of candle wax on the carpet. Annoying yes, but easy to remove. It doesn’t matter whether it’s clear or red candle wax the same tips apply. Here’s how:

First, wait for the wax to harden and then you can remove as much of the wax as you can by hand after it has dried. Try using a plastic knife or spoon.
Place a light-weight white damp cloth over the wax in the area. If you’re stuck you can use a brown paper bag if you’re stuck.
With a warm iron (make sure it’s warm, not hot. If the iron is too hot it may burn the carpet, yikes!) place it on the cloth moving it about and move the cloth often to a fresh section to absorb the wax.
The heat from the iron will melt the wax and the cloth will draw the wax right out of the carpet. Repeat this process until you’ve drawn out all the wax.

TIP: It’s best to use a Teflon coated iron in case the wax draws through the cloth/paper it won’t stick to the iron.
